A warm, welcoming studio tucked away in the heart of Somerset
Unleash your creativity and discover the joy of pottery at R&L Ceramics. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned maker, our peaceful space is the perfect place to relax, get hands-on, and shape something truly special.
Escape the realities of the everyday and absorb yourself into clay building. People are welcome to come to my studio to get creative and rediscover themselves using pottery as a tool. Pottery can be an enjoyable form of therapy, and this was one of the many reasons I started RL Ceramics.
Small groups are welcome or individual sessions.
Here at RL CERAMICS we understand that privacy is important to some of you in order to protect your designs, so we are happy to supply privacy screens should you ask.

We like to keep things cosy with tea, coffee, and a warm welcome always ready. Whether you’re throwing pots or just popping by, the kettle’s always on!
No need to worry about finding a spot – we’ve got free, hassle-free parking for studio. Just pull up, park, and come on in to get creative!
A welcoming onsite café serving fresh drinks and light bites. It’s a cosy, friendly space for visitors to relax, meet others or enjoy a break during events.
The hall has two entrances: one with a single step, and another with double doors and a gentle path ramp, providing smooth, accessible entry for wheelchair users and visitors needing step-free access.

About Me
I am Debbie, and I have always held an interest and passion for creating and designing through clay. Throughout my school years, I was fortunate enough to have an art teacher who allowed me to build with clay and use the kick wheel during break times – which kick-started my passion!
I then went into a long career in the NHS, where family commitments meant my clay journey had to be developed through night classes at a local college, which transformed my thought process of achieving my goal.
Medical retirement a few years ago, a disability, personal loss and bereavements forced me to reconfigure what suited me best, and that was to reconnect with pottery. This has helped me absorb and channel the emotion wheel (grief, loss, disappointment, anger and anxiety) into creativity and be a source of distraction and inspiration.
